The 3rd application of Lake dye will be applied sometime in the next week.
The blue dye that is placed in the lakes 4 times throughout the Spring and Summer is a "blend of environmentally friendly, nontoxic, water-soluble dyes formulated to reduce sunlight penetration..."
This dye helps to reduce the growth of lake weeds and provides a nice blue color to the lakes.
During application, you may see someone walking the shore or in a boat, tossing the packets into the lake. The packets will dissolve in about 20 minutes. If you see a packet while out on the lake, stay clear. While it is non-toxic, if you come in direct contact with the dye, it will temporarily stain your skin a nice bright blue color.

The new treadmill is now available for use.
The older treadmill was looked at by the technician and needs a new board, so will remain out of service until further notice. It is an obsolete machine, so it is possible that parts may not be available for repairs. We will troubleshoot that if that is the case and update you when information is presented to us.

Both the main pool and the hot tub are back open.
A new TREADMILL has been added to the fitness room and will be available for use as soon as the electrician changes out the outlet (hopefully within the next few days) and the technician returns to calibrate and finish setting it up. The new treadmill is a larger, more durable unit and requires a 20A outlet.

NOTICE: EXTERIOR LIGHTING
As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain a harmonious and enjoyable environment within the community, and with the upcoming holiday season approaching, we’d like to remind everyone about the importance of being mindful with exterior house and landscape lighting.
Recently, we have had several complaints from homeowners in regard to exterior lighting, especially those that are overly bright and/or create motion or flashing.
General Guidelines:
Avoid Excessive Brightness or Glare: Ensure that your exterior lighting is appropriately dimmed and does not disrupt neighboring properties. Flood lights should be focused downward or shielded to minimize glare.
Maintain Aesthetic Appeal: Lighting should enhance the overall look of your property and blend with the community’s visual standards. Bright or flashy displays are discouraged.
Be Considerate: Please be considerate of your neighbors when installing or using outdoor lighting. We suggest turning off any lighting displays at a reasonable time so as to not disturb neighbors during their sleep.
While specific rules regarding lighting may not be explicitly stated in the covenants, Article XII states: No noxious or offensive activities shall be carried on upon any Lot or Outlot, nor shall anything be done thereon which may be or may become an annoyance or nuisance to the neighborhood.
Please be mindful of your neighbors and others on the lake that can see your exterior lighting.
If you have any questions/comments, please email me at islandlakemurray@gmail.com or contact your HOA Advisory Board lake representative.
